Sealing compounds

One of the products we manufacture are sealing compounds. We make them from high-quality materials using modern production techniques. As a result, customers can be sure that they are receiving products that are fully compliant with the strictest quality standards.

We manufacture our sealing compounds from plastic elastomers with high resistance to low and high temperatures. As a result, they retain their flexibility in the temperature range from -15 to as much as 50°C, and this significantly increases their usability.

Good elasticity regardless of temperature is not the only advantage of the sealing compounds on offer - our products exhibit effective adhesion to metals and will not absorb water, providing additional protection against corrosion. LARKIS sealing compounds work reliably in practically any weather conditions, which makes them ideal for sealing a wide range of stationary parts.

Uses for sealing compounds

As the name suggests, the main function of sealing compounds is to seal, as well as to fasten and joint various surfaces. In regard to their technical properties, sealing compounds are a very heterogeneous product group - the individual products differ not only in their intended use, but primarily in the composition of the compound from which they are made. The versatility of sealing compounds is therefore extensive: they are used for filling expansion joints and securing pipes, as well as for sealing car and machine body parts. Compounds based on thermoplastic elastomers can also be used to fill rubber and silicone gaskets.

Regardless of how the sealing compound is to be used and on the basis of which mixture it is based, the basic characteristic of this type of sealant should be excellent adhesion to various surfaces - this is what really determines its effectiveness. A product that adheres well to metal, wood or glass is airtight, impervious to water and other liquids, i.e. it fulfils its basic purpose. Such products include our standard sealing compounds for the automotive industry, as well as special anti-corrosion compounds.
